Cosign would like to send some congrats to the FlyLo and SAMIYAM team this month. First, FlyLo is gracing the cover of the new issue of XLR8R with a big feature inside all while making power moves with his new label Brainfeeder and still dropping dope tracks (check “A Milli” remix below). Second, SAMIYAM just dropped the new Hyperdub EP that he talked about in the interview awhile back. Definitely, cop the digital version on iTunes now because its ill. Congrats and keep an eye out here for what these great producers have up next

“Robo Tussin ft. Lil’ Wayne” a Flying Lotus “A Milli” remix for those of us who will crash the whip if the original comes on the radio one more time.

GZA and Son on Pitchfork.tv

This is dope– Wu-Tang’s GZA the genius introducing his young MC son Kareem Justice to the world. Apparently Justice is going to spit on the anticipated Cuban Linx II. As Pitchfork says this epitomizes the “coolest Take Your Son To Work Day of all time” plus an ill Shogun Assassin sample at the beginning. Check it out here.

Venue Shakedown in Chicago

According to Jim DeRogatis, Clubland Chicago is in immediate peril!

“With nary a word of public notice — and with no public hearings seeking input from the Chicago music community — the City Council Committee on License and Consumer Protection was set to meet again today in its rush to push through a new “promoters’ ordinance” initially proposed last year and only delayed at the last minute when music activists caught wind.

Like most laws, this one has a noble goal: to regulate concerts and dance events in Chicago, rooting out illegitimate “underground” promoters operating without proper licensing and therefore possibly endangering music lovers. Like many laws drafted from only one perspective, however, this one could cause serious, perhaps unintended consequences for people who try to promote live music here.

Of course, the city already has myriad laws on the books dictating proper licensing and safety codes for concerts and clubs — not the least of which is the controversial “anti-rave ordinance” passed in the ’90s, which came on top of police, fire, city building and health department oversight and the always acute watch of aldermen and neighborhood groups.

Cosign Exclusive: Kanye West Is An Extremist

Kanye had this little rant earlier today in a reply to an Entertainment Weekly review that gave the “Glow in the Dark tour” a B+.

I bet Chris Willman thought he was giving props too– this is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time…you cant tell him nothin.

Yo, anybody that’s not a fan; don’t come to my show. For what?! To try to throw yall to cents in? Yall rated my album shitty and now yall come to the show and give it a B+. What’s a B+ mean? I’m an extremist. It’s either pass or fail! A+ or F-! You know what, fuck you and the whole fucking staff!!! I know I shouldn’t dignify this with a comment, but the reviewer threw a jab at all the artists. I just wanna know when was the last time you enjoyed yourself. If you can’t have fun and loose yourself at this tour it’s a good chance you’re a very miserable person. I actually feel sorry for you guys. Your job forces you to not have fun anymore. Grab a drink, holla at some nice girls, and party bitch!!! You don’t know shit about passion and art. You’ll never gain credibility at this rate. You’re fucking trash! I make art. You can’t rate this. I’m a real person. I’m not a pop star. I don’t care about anything but making great art. Never come 2 one of my shows ever again, you’re not invited and if you see me… BOW!!! This is not pop, it’s pop art! Chris Willman, kill yourself.

Picture of Dilla and Dank next to the “Dillalade“- “here in my truck…”

I’m not going to be posting leaked stuff on this site but this song is too funny–

“Trucks” – J Dilla

Its off the unreleased (but slowly flowing onto the interwebs) MCA Album still unnamed.

Benji B played this banger a little while ago so I think its legit to put it up.

I’ll go ahead and link you to another blog here in case I decide to take this off.
