Rolling through Chicago last night, Chan Marshall sang us a ditty that seemed to pretty much capture the atmosphere: “In Chi-Town, it’s a cold town”. She then went on to put on one of the warmest sets of this touring season yet. Playing songs from The Greatest, Jukebox and even What Would the Community Think, Cat Power tore up the vic with only one downside: the 10 pm limit on all ages shows prevented her from roling back on stage for an encore. She did, however, take the time to toss out some t-shirts, for which fans fought like bachlorettes for a wedding bouquet.
Check this video out for her band introdution from last night’s show:
madly and desperately in love with this woman,
miles
